        Lib Dem action by Cllr Karen Chilvers has led to agreement for a new pillar box in Clements Park.
There are currently 74 libraries across Essex. The Conservative administration running Essex County Council is going out to consultation with proposals to close 25 of them with a further 19 under threat of closure and opening hours cut for those libraries that remain open.
 
                
        
        CALL FOR PAVING STONES HEEDED A 'trip hazard' along Brentwood High Street has been repeaired after a local councillor highlighted the problem. Councillor David Kendall called on Essex County Council Highways to 'urgently repair' the section of pavement outside the Oxfam shop on Brentwood High Street back in August. After a number of paving stones had become loose along the High Street, Essex Highways repaired the section by filling them in with tarmac.
 
                
        
        Better investment in mental health care is essential to support our community from cradle to grave but, more importantly, investment must go to acting on findings to make positive changes.
The crime and disorder act 1998 defines anti-social behaviour (ASB) as one's behaviour which "caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household" as the perpetrator. Official examples of ASB, to name a few are: Littering or drugs paraphernalia; trespassing; street drinking; vhicle nuisance or inappropriate use; rowdy or inconsiderate behaviour.
 
                
        
        The contaminated blood scandal is one of the gravest injustices in NHS history. We must honour victims with recognition, dignity, and compensation β and ensure no one ever suffers from such injustice again.
