Notice has been received that the recycling centre at High Ongar will close for good on 8th January 2012, further to the Conservative Cabinet member's decision.
Common sense finally prevailed at Brentwood Borough Council last week when the Conservative administration listened to Pilgrims Hatch's Lib Dem councillors and agreed to the installation of a dispersal order to stop the anti-social behaviour that has blighted the area in recent months.
The Conservative administration has created two extra panels on Brentwood council - with additional chair & vice-chair expenses totalling Β£12,448 of tax payers' money alone annually - plus additional costs of running a committee, such as staff overtime, which have not been released.
On the day of the final council meeting of the year, Lib Dem Leader Cllr David Kendall warns the Tory administration not to attempt to take all the credit for the parking charges review that has begun across the borough in recent weeks.
