Kendall calls for public consultation on William Hunter Way development

Any development in Brentwood needs to be the right size and scale

New Lib Dem Group Leader, Cllr David Kendall, has called on Brentwood Borough Council to undertake a full public consultation exercise on any plans that are put forward for a Cinema development in William Hunter Way.

Cllr Kendall has made the call because he believes it is vital that the people of Brentwood are given a proper opportunity to express their views on a development that is going to have a major impact on the town for years to come.

Cllr Kendall said "It became very clear during the recent local election campaign that many residents feel they are being railroaded on this issue and their views are being ignored. I believe it is vital both the Council and the developers get this one right. Whilst I support the principle of Brentwood having a Cinema I want to see local people given the opportunity to exert some real influence on what is built on the site".
