The Kurds have been badly let down by Trump

Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Brentwood & Ongar, David Kendall has spoken out in support of the Kurds in Syria who are being attacked by Turkey. He believes the Kurds have been badly let down by President Trump and his administration following the decision made by the US to pull out of Syria.

David said: "The Kurds have been a good friend to the US and the UK and have led the fight against Isis forces. They have lost over 11,000 troops in battle and I believe we owe them a debt for what they have done. The Kurds feel they have been betrayed by Donald Trump and I share that view. Diplomatic pressure needs to be put on Turkey to stop their invasion of Syria as soon as possible".
