Remembrance Day 2023

On Sunday 12th November 2023 Liberal Democrat Councillors joined other Councillors to be a part of the Remembrance Day parade, which took place in Brentwood.

Led by the Leader of Brentwood Borough Council, Barry Aspinell, councillors attended the War Memorial service at Middleton Hall Lane and then paraded towards Brentwood Highstreet. The event, as usual was well-attended by residents across Brentwood. 

The salute was taken by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Graham Clegg, accompanied by other dignitaries, including Mayor of Brentwood and President of Brentwood RBL. 

The Parade was led by the fantastic Brentwood Imperial Youth Band and members from our Armed Forces; Army, Navy, the Air Force, Veterans, Cadets, Essex Police, Essex Fire service, Scouts and Guides, the Royal Mail and local charities. 

Many thanks to the hundreds of people who lined the streets of Brentwood and joined us in showing our respect and honour. We will remember them.
