Overview & Scrutiny and the Tory shambles

Following the Tory witchhunt and removal of Lib Dem Cllr Karen Chilvers as chair of overview and scrutiny on spurious grounds (and specifically following her decision to take a vote of no confidence in the administration), the Tory incumbent confirmed that she didn't know the procedure and didn't read the terms of reference of her own committee.
Cllr Karen Chilvers said:
"This rather vindicates what we thought all along, that the Tories do not really have any regard for scrutinising and are paying lip service to this vital role."
