Cllr Kendall & colleagues celebrate by-election win

David Kendall and Brentwood and Ongar Liberal Democrats are celebrating winning the Pilgrims Hatch by-election to Brentwood Borough Council on 1 March, taking the seat from the Conservatives.

Lib Dem David Kendall was elected with a majority of 61, and became the third Lib Dem Councillor for Pilgrims Hatch after another win in the ward last May. The Labour vote fell to just 3.7% - possibly one of the lowest in the Country.

The result in full:

  • LD David Kendall 712 (50.3%)
  • Con 651 (46%)
  • Lab 53 (3.7%)

The majority was 61 and turnout 31.8%. David Kendall takes the vacant seat left by Sandra Roberts earlier this year.
