Last call for Civic Awards nominations!

19 Jan 2026
Brentwood Town Hall

You have until Friday 6th February to nominate someone special for a Civic Award.

We would like to recognise the hard work of organisations and locals, who have continued to help others and make Brentwood a better place. The annual Civic Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge their dedication in going above and beyond for the community.

Mayor of Brentwood Councillor Jay Laplain said, "Brentwood is full of people who quietly make an extraordinary difference, often without seeking recognition. The Civic Awards are our chance to shine a light on those who give their time, energy and compassion to help others. If you know someone who has gone above and beyond for our community even in small, meaningful ways, I strongly encourage you to nominate them before the deadline."

The Service to the Community award is open for nominations to both individuals and groups, regardless of age and can be for someone who volunteers their free time helping others, such as caring for a family member, helping others within the Borough or someone who has done something exceptional for the community.

Anyone who lives or works in Brentwood can be nominated.

To assist the judging panel, please ensure you include as much detail as possible when nominating with examples of what the individual or group have done in the community.

The nominations close on Friday 6 February 2026 and will be considered by the panel of judges. The awards will be presented on Friday 17 April 2026 at the Civic Dinner.
