Congratulations to Colchester Lib Dem MP Bob Russell who has been knighted in the New Year's Honours List.
Sir Bob had been rewarded for his service to the local community and we are delighted to see him recognised in this way.
Cllr David Kendall, Brentwood's Lib Dem leader, said:
"The time, energy and commitment that Bob has given to the residents of Colchester over many many years is indeed worthy of recognition and we should all be proud of what he has achieved.
