Cllr Sapwell fights on for crossing from The Meads to Sainsbury's

Three years ago, Cllr James Sapwell discovered there was funding for crossing from the new Meads residential home to enable a safe crossing to Sainsbury's. But, so far, it's not happened. He said:

" I have repeatedly been given start dates however none have come into fruition - they're saying they've got quotes now but this has been dragging on too long and it's not fair on the residents who need a crossing here. This is something that should have happened automatically once funding was available however, we have had to work incredibly hard to even get this far.

"I'm confident it will happen, but it needs to happen soon!!"
