Brentwood Liberal Democrat councillors: We have paid OUR council tax

Brentwood's Liberal Democrat councillors are pleased to confirm that they have ALL paid their council tax either in full, are paying by installments or as part of ther tenancy agreements, as would be expected of any Brentwood resident.

This confirmation follows press reports that two Brentwood councillors are in arrears with their council tax, with one being sent a court summons.

A councillor who is more than two months behind with their council tax payments is not entitled to vote on any budgetary matters or attend council meetings, but this has not been enacted and this has been raised with the Managing Director of the council.
