A cut above!

Congratulations to Lib Dem Cllr Nigel Clarke and his Tory protege Cllr William Lloyd on their win over a Tory/Labour team tonight at the Councillor Scissorhands Challenge in aid of the Brentwood Mayor's Charities.

In a close shave, TeamClarkeLloyd proved to be streaks ahead when a clapometer judged William's hair cut to be the best at the Sugar Hut after two tense hours of hair cutting, blow drying and straightening.

Nigel has been training William for the event for the past few weeks and the coveted trophy will now be on "perm"anent display in his Crown Street shop. Until tonight, William had been working on a dummy but tonight, it was a real life head of hair and a very brave lady!
